Three Pohnpei Swimming Club members smash records in Melbourne


Three of Pohnpei Swimming Club's members were a part of Team FSM at the FINA World Swimming Championships in Melbourne, Australia from December 13 to 18. FSM Olympian and PSC swimmer Taeyanna Adams set a new national record in the 50 Meter Freestyle event as well as giving an outstanding performance in the 50 Meter Breaststroke. PSC swimmer Kestra Kihleng set two new FSM national records in her events, the 50 Meter Butterfly and the 100 Meter Individual Medley. PSC swimmer Kyler Kihleng got all personal best times in his individual events, the 50 Meter Freestyle and the 100 Meter Freestyle. Together, these three swimmers joined forces with FSM Olympian Tasi Limtiaco to set two new national records in two relay events, the 4x50 Meter Mixed Medley Relay and the 4x50 Meter Mixed Freestyle Relay. Pohnpei Swimming Club would like to congratulate these fantastic athletes on their amazing accomplishments in Melbourne.
